More than three billion people, or half the world’s population, cook in their homes using traditional fire and stoves, burning biomass fuels like wood, dung and crop waste. Day in and day out, for hours at a time, families breathe in lethal fumes from these cooking fires. Indoor Air Pollution (IAP) currently claims the lives of 1.5 million people a year worldwide, or one person every 20 seconds. Women and children make up 85% of these deaths due to their increased exposure in the home.

In creating products for developing world customers, “ Envirofit ” an entrepreneurial , commercially driven and a non-profit U.S tax
 exempt corporation created cooking fires, “Envirofit cookstoves” which reduce IAP by as much as 80%, use up to 60% less fuel and reduce cooking cycle time by up to 50%. A Room to Read

Over 300 million children around the world do not have access to education and most likely will never learn to read or write. Room to Read believes that all children, regardless of gender or background, have a right to education. By empowering children through this lifelong gift, Room to Read sees a world in which people are able to realize their full potential.
And If u decide to get drunk and also provide education why not from this one.

The Fledgling wine company Initiative based in california aims to make awesome wine for the benefit of “ Room to Read ”, a global non-profit organization extending literacy and educational opportunities to children worldwide. Every case sold will provide approximately 60 local language children’s books and promote education in the world’s poorest regions.
Room to Read began in Nepal ten years ago when Microsoft executive John Wood left his job to begin bringing donating books to rural communities. Today, it’s a global non-profit organization providing opportunities that change children's lives and communities throughout Bangladesh, Cambodia, India, Laos, Nepal, South Africa, Sri Lanka, Vietnam and Zambia. To date, Room to Read has established more than 700 schools and over 7,000 bilingual libraries with five million books, and supports the education of nearly 7,000 girls. Room to Read’s programs have already reached more than three million children and hope to improve literacy for five million children by establishing over 10,000 libraries and distributing nearly nine million children's books by 2010.

Imagine a world in which every child has access to an education. Room to Read is making this dream a reality, one child at a time.

Green ideas- Part I

Just imagine going back some 200 years back, how beautiful was our continent with full of greenery. Why have all that went under the laziness of mankind and inviting all those dreadful diseases to him. Not to blame entirely the laziness it was indeed required for the thirst of ‘knowing the unknown’ and revolutionizing it to the current scenario. More than lakhs of satellites revolving in its own orbit  have ate its bit of ozone on its path, all those high speed locomotives which never fail to let out dreadful CO2, high-tech electronic gadgets emitting ionizing radiation on all those coming on its way. And in the recent centuries how convenient were the polythene materials, beautifully packing even the dead bodies and finally blocking the water to reach its place. It goes on and on.

All those nuanced mistakes by some way or the other owe to  mankind. But for every mistake that is committed there is a revert back. It is not a new thing that all of us knew plants take carbondioxide as its main food ingredient and let out oxygen as the by product. So all we have to do is just one thing

If there isn’t enough space no probs just grow ornamental plants in   a pot as much as possible inside your home. It adds value to your life, keeps your mood sweeter, provides good oxygen supply so no asthma, and moreover acts as a shield to the dust particles

I believe all you will definitely take a small step and combine together to save earth from a giant leap.
